Terms of Use

These terms are an agreement between you and Zend Technology Company Limited (RC RC 1562212), No. 1 Akin Adeola Street, Victoria Island (“Weig”, “we”). They cover the Weig app at www.weig.app, including Weig Points, the Pantry, the AI Coach and cash-outs. By creating an account you accept them. Please also read our Privacy Policy.

1. Who can use Weig

You must be 18 or older and able to enter a binding contract. One account per person. You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for everything done in your account. Tell us at support@weig.app if you think someone else has used it.

2. Health information is not medical advice

Weig shows nutrition facts, logs what you consume and offers general wellness guidance, including from an AI coach. None of this is medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. The AI coach can be wrong. Always follow your doctor or pharmacist, especially about medicines, allergies, pregnancy or a medical condition. Genuine-product checks reduce the risk of counterfeits but cannot guarantee that any product is safe; if a product seems wrong, don't use it and report it.

3. Weig Points

• You earn points for verified servings: products scanned into your Pantry when bought and logged when consumed, or products verified with a brand's pack code. Items logged without verification are recorded but earn no points.
• Brands may fund extra points through campaigns, each with its own rules, budget and end date. Campaign points stop when the budget is spent.
• Points have a value of 100 points = US$1 only when cashed out under these terms. They are not money, a deposit or a financial product, and cannot be transferred, sold or exchanged except by cashing out.
• We may cap purchases added by barcode, hold points for review, ask for a receipt, and reverse or forfeit points earned by mistake, by fraud or in breach of these terms. Undoing or deleting a log reverses its points.

4. Cashing out

• Cash-outs are paid in Nigerian naira to a Nigerian bank account in your own name, through our payment provider Paystack, at the US dollar to naira rate Weig sets at the time of your request (shown before you confirm).
• The minimum cash-out is 1,000 points (US$10). Cash-outs of 3,000 points (US$30) or more require identity verification: your BVN, matched to your bank account by Paystack, and a valid photo ID reviewed by Weig.
• The provider's transfer fee and any stamp duty are deducted from your points in addition to the amount cashed out. If a transfer fails, the points and fee are returned.
• We may limit the number and size of cash-outs, pause cash-outs, or refuse or reverse a cash-out we reasonably believe is fraudulent or unlawful. We may need to report activity to the authorities where the law requires.

5. Acceptable use

Don't log products you didn't buy or consume, scan products on shop shelves to earn points, share or trade pack codes, use more than one account, automate the app, interfere with its security, or use it for anything unlawful. We may suspend or close accounts that do, and forfeit their points.

6. Partner brands

Brand campaigns and product information come from the brands and from open databases such as Open Food Facts. Brands are responsible for their products and offers. Weig applies health rules to campaigns but does not endorse any product.

7. Suspension and closing your account

You can delete your account at any time from your Profile. Points not yet cashed out are forfeited when you delete your account, so cash out first. We may suspend or close an account for breach of these terms, suspected fraud, or where the law requires, and will tell you why unless we are not allowed to.

8. Changes to Weig and these terms

We may change the app, points rules, rates, fees or these terms. We will give reasonable notice in the app or by email of changes that affect you materially. Points already in your balance keep their value in points.

9. Liability

We provide Weig with reasonable care and skill but cannot promise it will always be available or error-free. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the value of the points in your account at the time of the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Contact us first at support@weig.app so we can try to resolve any issue. Unresolved disputes go to the courts of Lagos State.
